Some say limoncello has been enjoyed since Roman times. Others believe the recipe was born inside a monastic convent. Still others claim Italian wives prepared it in the 1900s as a digestif for their husbands. 

Flamboyant Italian restaurateur, Corrado Ronchetti, a native of Italy's ruggedly beautiful Amalfi Coast, brings you this most traditional of limoncello recipes. Now living on New Zealand's Kapiti Coast, Corrado and his Kiwi wife, Annemarie Tiffen, make limoncello in premises near their award-winning Soprano Italian restaurant.

Corrado is very proud of his limoncello, made from pure alcohol, fresh lemons and spring water, to a recipe passed down from his grandmother.
